How storytelling can benefit your organisation
Producing better stories is not just about being able to write them. A clear and consistent narrative, underpinned by the right processes and great storytelling skills, transforms messages into moving and memorable stories. These stories capture attention, win support, and achieve goals. They’re also one of the most cost-effective tools in your marketing toolbox.
Reach new audiences
Engage more people as your stories become accessible, distinctive, and compelling.
Boost growth
More and better storytelling can expand your income and funding.
Enhance your reputation
Storytelling ensures that the change your work brings to real-life situations is seen to be making a difference.
Drive positive change
Storytelling evokes the key emotions that drive rational decision-making.
Foster staff morale
Good storytelling encourages greater cohesion and success among your employees, your best asset.
Save time and money
By hiring an expert you’ll save time and money with research, messaging and content creation.
Corporate storyteller services
My approach is ideal for crafting the following products:
- Web posts
- Blogs
- Fundraising papers
- Social media posts, especially LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
- Speeches
- Newsletters
- Annual reports
- Brochures, leaflets, and other visibility material
- ‘White Papers’
In addition to content creation, I can also act as your coordinating editor. Managing staff and consultants, I oversee the day-to-day process that ensures all products are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
My three-phased approach to helping you achieve your goals
Story framework and update
To assess the current impact of your stories and identify missed opportunities, I will conduct an audit of your existing stories. I’ll also look at how they are promoted and the attention they are commanding.
Following my conclusions and recommendations, a select number of stories will be updated. I’ll also work directly with your team to create your message framework for future stories, helping you to achieve more of your corporate and communications’ goals.
Core organisational narrative
Creating a coherent and consistent organisational narrative will help unite both staff and external audiences around the organisation’s visions and values. The consistency of the message will ensure your narratives stand out to the external audiences that count.
Skills training
The project is completed with a half-day workshop for key internal stakeholders on the practical application of your message framework and organisational narrative. This will help ensure that all members of your team can create powerful stories and content. The team will become more efficient, and you’ll expand your reach and impact.
